Sketch a day.

Whenever possible, I get in front of nature directly and sit and draw in one of my many sketchbooks.

Failing that, I have become a prolific photographer, having taken over fifty thousand images which I can now use as a reference for studio work along with the endless supply of on-line content.

The sketch-a-day started as a way of increasing my drawing output. A way of forcing myself to produce something creative in nature that I could then share on the various social networks. These days my daily sketch has become more of a creative exercise an artist’s version of the morning jog. Something to satisfy the creative side of my brain and keep it fit.
